Salvation...

Its been long since I have seen a falling star,
Its been long since I have walked damn too far.

Did I witness the sunrise? I don’t remember,
Do the birds really sing? At times I wonder.

Its been long since I have relaxed and stared,
Its been long since I have ever cared.

As I sit on this comfy couch,
Eating peanuts from a re-cycled pouch.

Its seems as if my head is aching,
As I try to feel the dawn breaking.

Its been long since I have got up so early,
Its been long since I have thought so clearly.

I am fed up of the soap opera,
And wish someone could stop this era.

I think I heard something’s breathing,
We hardly converse apart from greeting.

Its been long since I have seen you smiling,
I guess it’s the trouble that keeps on pilling.

I pray to lord, but only if he could have send,
An angel from above, to bring these hurdles to an end.

Instead I had a wooden nest,
Last thing I ask for, is a peaceful rest.
